Armament Systems
From its founding, AAI has been a significant participant in armament programs for all branches of the military services. Even today, armament systems remain one of AAI’s core competencies.
Capabilities include design, development, and fabrication supported by test ranges, instrumentation, modeling software, rapid prototype facilities, and manufacturing. Program experience includes ammunition, practice ammunition, shoulder-fired weapons, hand-held weapons, machineguns, and grenade launchers.
The Armament Systems group demonstrates innovation and unique solutions as hallmarks of its efforts and is recognized for such in the customer community. Related activities include sights, fire control for small arms and medium caliber systems, mounts, medium caliber fuzes, systems analysis, human factors, advanced materials, producibility, and packaging.
