Air Vehicles: Today and Tomorrow
Nearly 25 years of proven, battlefield-tested air vehicle technologies have established AAI Corporation at the very forefront of the industry in designing and delivering state-of-the-art, operational unmanned aircraft.
Our strategy uses current and emerging technologies to improve the capabilities of existing products and deliver new solutions to meet military requirements now and in the future.
The company’s array of unmanned aircraft are extremely reliable platforms for sophisticated intelligence-gathering payloads that collect vital battlefield and situational awareness information and link it to high-technology, interoperability networks that give military commanders the crucial data needed to act decisively.
Among our credits for today and tomorrow are:
|
- The Shadow family of tactical unmanned aircraft, including the Shadow 200 — the U.S. Army’s cornerstone intelligence-gathering system.
- Micro Air Vehicles — next-generation, 13-inch diameter, autonomous surveillance aircraft with vertical takeoff and landing capabilities. They’re ruggedly built but so small and lightweight they can be carried by infantrymen in backpacks.
- iSTAR (intelligence-gathering, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance) — lift-augmented, ducted fan, unmanned systems that combine vertical takeoff and landing with high-speed horizontal flight.
- Aerosonde® 4 — unique unmanned aircraft that deliver military and civil surveillance, meteorology, science, and military resources while operating in challenging environments from the tropics to the Arctic.
