GAO Recommends JSECST
In a report to the secretary of defense, the General Accountability Office (GAO) recommends that JSECST be expanded to other military aircraft, such as bombers, rotocraft, and transports: “Because the new tester is so effective, we are recommending that you direct the Air Force and the Navy to consider expanding the use of the new tester beyond their fighter aircraft to other types of aircraft.”

MEON is an end-to-end confidence flight line test set used for stimulation and radiometric measurement of Missile Warning System/Infrared Counter Measures. MEON is compatible with ALQ-144, ALQ-157, ALQ-204 (Matador), AAQ-24 (Nemesis), and ALQ-212 (ATIRCM). It is man-portable and battery-powered and is manufactured as ruggedized MIL-specification equipment. MEON can be provided with software tools for threat re-programming and full remote operation.
