Training Range Support Equipment
The Mallina system is designed as an aircraft training aid or a test and evaluation tool. Mallina performs stimulation of ultraviolet/infrared (UV/IR) missile warning receivers and IR jammers and measurement of IR countermeasure systems. The IR beacon unit comprises up to 216 individual wideband mid-IR transmitters. Each IR transmitter provides spatial signatures with increased temporal dynamic range. Variants have been produced to offer stand-off ranges from 200 meters to more than 5 kilometers.
Super MEOS had been developed as a medium-range, end-to-end stimulator for developmental test and evaluation, and operational test and evaluation for Missile Warning System/Directed Infrared Counter Measure (DIRCM) systems. Super MEOS was initially developed for the Advanced Tactical Infrared Counter Measure (ATIRCM)/Common Missile Warning System (CMWS) Joint Program Office. The system adopts the original DIRCM MEOS systems with an additional significantly increased IR beacon unit and improved ergonomic user interface. Super MEOS has a maximum stand-off range exceeds 3 kilometers.
