Electronic Warfare Trainers
The Simulator for Electronic Combat Training (SECT) system is a software-based training aid hosted on multiple, commercial, off-the-shelf desktop PCs. The system provides students with undergraduate training that includes air warfare, electronic warfare, and reconnaissance missions. Training uses interactive electronic combat lab exercises as well as simulated training missions developed by using a Mission Builder PC. As a student progresses through a selected exercise, an instructor uses an Electronic Warfare Trainers Instructor Station PC to monitor and evaluate the student’s actions and reactions. At the conclusion of the exercise, the instructor is able to replay portions of the training for student debrief. All of the Student Station PCs, Instructor Station PCs, and Mission Builder PCs are connected by an Ethernet local area network so that data can be sent between the PCs during training.
