Air Defense Trainers
AAI provides trainers for man-portable and vehicle-mounted anti-aircraft missile and gun systems. We’ve provided solutions to train U.S. and allied air defense gunners worldwide for over 30 years with its Moving Target Simulator (MTS) trainers.
AAI’s current Advanced MTS (AMTS) is a third-generation system that employs the latest visual system technology for training air defense weapon operators. Our third generation display system technology provides a dynamic, fully immersive, virtual computer-generated environment that enhances battlefield awareness and training inside a panoramic, high resolution dome.
A large set of target entities, selectable terrain and weather environments, light conditions and high-fidelity audio and visual effects is simulated. All of these affects are provided using low cost image generators and video projectors blended together to present a single combined immersive image.
