C-17 Globemaster Cargo Plane
The C-17 Globemaster is the U.S. Air Force’s premiere heavy lift a ircraft. The aircraft uses advanced avionics and a fly-by-wire system. AAI has developed the C-17 Maintenance Training System (MTS) to support the U.S. Air Force’s training needs for this complex and highly computerized aircraft.
The training system provides capability for training more than 1,100 aircraft maintenance tasks at a high physical and functional fidelity level. Technicians from all five C-17 Air Force Specialty Codes (AFSCs) are trained by running aircraft technical orders exactly as they would on the aircraft. Instructors have the ability to insert faults to provide realism for the students.
