AAI’s Simulator for Electronic Combat Training (SECT) is a software-based training aid hosted on commercial off-the-shelf PCs. It provides students with undergraduate training including air warfare, electronic warfare, and reconnaissance missions.

The system incorporates interactive electronic combat lab exercises, as well as simulated training missions developed using a mission builder PC. As students progress through a selected exercise, instructors can use an electronic warfare trainer instructor station PC to monitor and evaluate student actions and reactions. At the conclusion of the exercise, instructors can replay portions of the training for student debrief.

All student station PCs, instructor station PCs, and mission builder PCs are connected by an Ethernet local area network so that data can be sent between PCs during training.
