E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (Joint STARS)
AAI’s E-8C Joint STARS is an air-to-ground surveillance radar system integrated into a militarized Boeing 707-300 airframe. This airborne radar and communications relay platform simultaneously provides important targeting and battle-management data to air and ground component commanders.
We developed the Joint STARS prime mission equipment (PME) mission training simulator for the U.S. Air Force, fabricating high-fidelity PME replicas with Simware interfaces. Our student station hardware and software integrates PME replicas with lesson delivery, an instructor station that provides control and feedback in a classroom environment, and a Simware scripting language that enables lesson developers to create effective training materials.
