AAI Receives Silver Boeing Performance Excellence Award


Hunt Valley, Maryland — June 12, 2009 —
AAI Corporation, an operating unit of Textron Systems, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced today that it has received a 2008 Boeing Performance Excellence Award. These are issued annually by The Boeing Company in recognition of suppliers that have achieved superior performance.

AAI's Hunt Valley, Md., headquarters maintained a Silver performance rating during the 12-month performance period from October 1, 2007, through September 20, 2008. The company was one of 325 suppliers receiving the Silver level of recognition.

"It is incredibly important to all of us at AAI that we provide superior execution on our business commitments, because the products and services we deliver so closely affect America's warfighters," says Senior Vice President and General Manager Ellen Lord. "With that responsibility in mind, we center extensive continuous improvement efforts around efficient and effective use of AAI's resources to ensure the highest level of customer service."

This AAI facility provided several products and services to Boeing during the performance period, primarily from its extensive Test & Training Systems offerings. Chiefly, the Joint Service Electronic Combat Systems Tester, or JSECST, which is designed to quickly and accurately test electronic warfare radar warning systems and jammers for mission readiness.
