AAI has undertaken a thoughtful analysis of the requirements and contributions of its hydraulic test stands business, located in Mississippi, resulting in a conclusion that the production of new hydraulic test stands is not a core business for AAI. Thus, AAI has decided to stop taking orders for new hydraulic test stands. AAI plans to complete all of its existing contractual obligations for the production of hydraulic test stands and to shutdown its operation in Mississippi by the summer of 2010.
AAI’s Logistics and Technical Services business unit will continue to provide spare parts, upgrades and service support for our previously delivered test stands and related equipment out of its operation in Ogden, Utah. We expect to transition this work from our Mississippi facility to Utah by the end of the first quarter of 2010. AAI has exclusively licensed Testek, Inc. to continue to manufacture AAI Mississippi (formerly known as ACL Technologies) test stands for hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel and electrical applications. This will provide you with a continuing source of supply for these test stands. Testek has been designing and manufacturing test equipment since 1969 and prides itself as being a leader in support of ATE, Fuel, Electrical, APU, Hydraulic, Transmission and other test equipment / facility needs.
