The purpose of this Web site is to communicate with current and potential customers regarding AAI’s ability to provide world-class professional support services for all NAVSEA Program Executive Offices, Directorates, and field activities.
Quality Assurance:
AAI management uses the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model (CMM) to reduce costs and improve quality. AAI’s software development process is assessed at SEI CMM Level 5. AAI recently expanded its continuous improvement activities to include the Capability Maturity Model Integrated Certification Process. This process builds upon the best practices of the software CMM, adding the Systems Engineering Capability Model (SECM) and the Integrated Product Development Capability Maturity Model (IPD-CMM).
AAI has established a Quality Management System (QMS) as a means to assure customer expectations and requirements are achieved efficiently and consistently. AAI’s QMS is certified to ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100. In December 2004 AAI also passed an audit for registration to ISO 14000, Environmental Management System standards. The QMS is continually improved for effectiveness and meets all ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100 requirements. AAI has maintained an ISO 9001 registered quality system since November 1995. |

To assure AAI’s Quality Management System is effective, Quality Management Reviews are presented to senior management and include corrective and preventive actions results, audit results, customer feedback, process conformance/product conformity, plan changes, and recommendations for improvement. The output from the Quality Management Review are decisions and actions that increase the effectiveness of its Quality Management System and its associated processes. As a result, Quality Improvement Goals are established annually and are tracked to assure effective execution and achievement. AAI’s quality program covers on-site as well as in-plant operations.
